The Labyrinth collection is based on mid-century concepts of Brutalism as pioneered by English cultural critic Reyner Banham in the essay “The New Brutalism” alongside European architects Auguste Perret & Le Corbusier in their use of béton brut.  Each piece in the Labyrinth collection is left unfinished, contrasting rawness & the unadorned with smoothness to highlight the beauty of design contradictions rather than bourgeois ugliness.
